An established and respected civil engineering contractor is looking to expand its commercial team with the addition of a Junior or Apprentice Estimator. The company is a key delivery partner on major water infrastructure frameworks across the North West, including long-term AMP programmes. With a strong pipeline of work and a commitment to developing early-career professionals, this is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business.
Your new role
- Assisting in the preparation of tender submissions and cost plans
- Gathering and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Supporting take-offs and quantity measurements from drawings
- Learning to use estimating software and internal systems
- Collaborating with project teams to understand scope and requirements
What you'll need to succeed
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or someone currently studying Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or a related construction discipline. A keen interest in infrastructure and water projects, strong numeracy, and a proactive attitude will be key to success. Previous placement or internship experience in a commercial or estimating role would be beneficial but not essential.What you'll get in return
