A secondary school in Cheshire is seeking an IT Technician to support staff on a temporary basis.

Your new company

This is a high-performing secondary school located in the Leftwich area of Cheshire, serving a diverse and supportive community. The school forms part of a well-regarded and collaborative multi-academy trust and is recognised for its strong outcomes and commitment to continuous improvement. The school has around 1,000+ students on roll and offers a broad, ambitious and engaging curriculum, designed to maximise academic achievement while also supporting personal development and wellbeing. The school has been judged Outstanding by Ofsted, with particular strengths highlighted in the quality of education, student behaviour and leadership. Leaders have created a calm, inclusive and aspirational environment where students are motivated to succeed and staff are well-supported to deliver high-quality teaching and learning. They have a strong IT team in place, also working closely with an external provider and, due to a current absence in the school, they are seeking an IT Technician to provide some interim support.

Your new role

The school is seeking an IT Technician to deliver high-quality first-line support across the school, working closely with staff and pupils. This role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of IT systems, devices and infrastructure that underpin teaching, learning and operational services. Working across the school, you will troubleshoot technical issues, support users, and assist with hardware, software, and network maintenance, while contributing to wider IT projects and continuous service improvement. This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering reliable, secure and effective IT services.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you will have significant IT support experience, ideally with experience working in the education sector. You will have a strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, as well as experience of supporting both hardware and software issues. This role is due to start on the 15th June and continue for around 6 weeks, therefore you must be available for the duration of the role.

What you'll get in return

In return, you will be paid a competitive daily rate and will become an integral part of the IT support team, also receiving further support from the external provider. You will gain new skills and knowledge working in the education sector, as well as an insight into working in an OFSTED rated outstanding secondary school.
