Salary: £26,000-£28,600

As the IT Technician, you will provide 1st line support to users, look after IT equipment, install, order and maintain software/hardware and provide technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Resolving IT issues reported through the service desk ticketing system
• Assisting in the maintenance and monitoring of the organisation’s network infrastructure
• Installing new software and upgrading existing applications
• Providing technical support to end users across the organisation
• Running diagnostics and troubleshooting hardware/software problems
• Maintaining hardware peripherals (e.g. printers, external drives, visualisers)
• Ensuring systems are secure and compliant with relevant safety and data protection standards
• Supporting users through training and guidance on IT systems and tools

Key Requirements:

• Possess knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware, and commonly used software
• Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical abilities

• Capable of prioritising tasks, working under pressure, and meeting deadlines
• Take a patient and methodical approach to troubleshooting and support
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Maintain an awareness of health, safety, and data protection standards

Travel between locations in Bury St. Edmunds will be required. They have a travel claims policy to ensure you are supported in the travel requirements of the role.

A Full Enhanced DBS check will also be required for the successful candidate.
