Hays Technology are looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join an exciting public sector client's team. They are looking to undertake two major transformation projects – a full hardware refresh and a system upgrade. To support this, they are looking for two experienced BAU 1st/2nd Line Support Engineers to maintain day-to-day operations.

What you will be doing:
  • Delivering hands-on technical support across a busy IT environment
  • Managing tickets via the department’s service desk system
  • Providing both face-to-face and remote support to a diverse user base
  • Supporting Active Directory tasks including password resets and account provisioning
  • Handling desktop support, printer issues, and general hardware troubleshooting
  • Supporting Windows 10 and 11 environments
  • Maintaining and supporting O365 applications
  • Working in a fast-paced, varied workload environment

What we are looking for:
  • Proven 1st/2nd line support experience in a BAU setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to support users at all levels
  • Experience with Active Directory, desktop support, and ticketing systems
  • Familiarity with Winpath would be desirable
  • Public Sector experience strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of Windows OS, O365, and general IT troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
