IT Helpdesk Administrator

We’re recruiting for a proactive and organised IT Helpdesk Administrator to join a fast-paced organisation delivering essential services across Northern Ireland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical support and administrative skills to contribute to a high-impact IT team.

Location: Belfast HQ (with travel across NI sites)
Hours: Full-time | Band 4 Contract: Fixed Term Sector: Essential Services / Operations
About the Role
This role blends technical support, helpdesk management, and mobile device administration. You’ll be the first point of contact for IT issues, manage mobile communications contracts, and support the wider IT team with coordination and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the IT Helpdesk – monitor incidents, assign tickets, ensure timely resolution
  • Provide desktop and telecoms support to staff across multiple sites
  • Administer mobile voice and data contracts – maintain records, issue devices, liaise with managers
  • Maintain stock control and security of mobile devices (tablets, iPads, smartphones)
  • Support meetings – scheduling, minute-taking, documentation
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and communications using MS Office
  • Collaborate with IT staff and users to improve service delivery
Candidate Profile
Essential Criteria:
  • Option 1:HND or equivalent + 1 year in an IT service environment
  • Option 2: 5 GCSEs (including Maths & English) + 2 years in an IT service environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel (or equivalent)

Desirable:
  • Experience in mobile device management and contract administration
  • Familiarity with IT support in multi-site environments
