Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated SC Cleared IT Support Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing hardware diagnostics and break-fix support, building and configuring laptops and desktops, and managing a Tech Bar on a rotational basis. Additionally, the role involves handling software BAU (Business as Usual) tasks, working on 2nd line support tickets, and providing remote desktop assistance. This role requires an active SC Clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware Support:
- Perform break-fix and hardware diagnostics for laptops and desktops.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with the hardware team to ensure timely repairs and maintenance.
- Laptop and Desktop Builds:
- Build and configure laptops and desktops according to company standards.
- Install and update necessary software and drivers.
- Ensure all devices are ready for deployment to end-users.
- Tech Bar Management:
- Manage the Tech Bar three times a week on a rotational basis.
- Provide in-person support to employees with technical issues.
- Offer guidance and training on hardware and software usage.
- Software BAU Work:
- Handle 2nd line support tickets related to software issues.
- Provide remote desktop support to resolve user problems.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless support.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT support, particularly in hardware diagnostics and break-fix.
- Strong knowledge of laptop and desktop builds and configurations.
- Proficiency in handling 2nd line support tickets and remote desktop tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and work on a rotational schedule.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Tech Bar or similar in-person support roles.
- Familiarity with various operating systems and software applications.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar.
Working Conditions:
- Office-based role
- Rotational schedule for Tech Bar management.
- May require lifting and moving hardware equipment.
