Due to organisational growth and further expansion, a role has been created for an IT Service Desk Support.
Your new role
As a passionate and adept individual, your primary responsibility is to manage and execute a range of support tasks. Providing excellent servicing to both internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to improving the operations' productivity.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1st and 2nd line support across various systems and services.
- Resolve incidents and service requests via phone, email, and ITSM platform.
- Troubleshoot issues in Windows-based software and business-critical applications across warehouse, transport, and office settings.
- Deploy and maintain IT hardware including PCs, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and warehouse equipment.
- Support IT aspects of site openings, closures, and relocations.
- Communicate effectively with users of all technical levels.
- Manage and resolve tickets in line with SLAs.
- Identify trends and contribute to service improvement.
- Use monitoring tools to proactively detect and escalate issues.
- Collaborate with other tech teams to ensure smooth system transitions.
- Participate in out-of-hours support rota.
- Occasional travel to other UK sites for support and project delivery.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this highly visible role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar IT support role.
- Strong communication skills for supporting users with varying technical abilities.
- High attention to detail in system builds and documentation.
- Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines independently.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a business-insured vehicle.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
