IT PMO Manager - Permanent - Up to £70k - Hybrid - Newport
Your new company
Hays are supporting a large business based in Newport looking to recruit a permanent IT PMO Manager. The salary is up to £70,000pa and offers hybrid working typically 3 days per week on site. The organisation has a large workstream of IT programmes and projects and are experiencing exciting growth.
Your new role
In the role, you will work at all levels of the organisation supporting multiple projects and stakeholders concurrently. You’ll support project definition to initiate plans and deliver projects showing strong governance and reporting skills. You’ll take ownership of the IT PMO and establish best practice controls and provide timely management information on key activities.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need extensive PMO management / lead experience, with exposure working across large complex programmes or portfolios of work supporting IT initiatives. Financial / commercial awareness is important, as is being confident in project process and governance. You’ll need excellent stakeholder management skills, alongside strong written and verbal communication skills. Prince 2 or ITIL qualifications will be beneficial. Exposure across project management would also be beneficial.
