Your new role
In this role, you'll focus on designing and developing innovative internal and customer technologies while also playing a crucial role in delivering impactful projects for both new and existing clients. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders will be essential as you work to ensure outstanding project outcomes and offer support and guidance to colleagues navigating day-to-day technical challenges.
Responsibilities
Take primary responsibility for key areas of Technologies, including IT, Networking, Telephony, and Connectivity, while also aiding in the development of broader technology products.
Regularly provide training on these systems as part of the ongoing training program.
Advise on relevant new technologies and systems for existing and potential clients.
Lead discussions, projects and technical work for assigned areas/clients, including development, maintenance, and issue resolution. Ensuring documentation and process creation.
Collaborate with the wider business on new projects.
Delivery of medium and large projects for new and existing clients
Assisting or directly planning, designing, discussing, and then building and testing technical solutions for clients
Maintain and monitor internal and client systems and advise and support on issues that colleagues and engineers may be working on.
Be a point of escalation for colleagues ensuring you can advise and assist with support tickets.
Provide technical pre-sales support and advanced solution design for complex requirements.
Conduct client and site visits for technical work and pre-sales support alongside our Growth, Technology and IT Solutions teams.
Experience needed
Extensive experience in IT projects, solution delivery, and IT support experience with strong troubleshooting skills.
Proven experience in stakeholder management and strong relationship building skills.
Advanced knowledge of systems, networks, and IT delivery with significant 2nd and 3rd line experience.
Experience in setting up and supporting Windows Server environments, Microsoft 365, and related technologies. This includes domain setup, Group Policy, Intune, networking, IP-based phone systems, and security solutions like antivirus and EDR.
Strong problem-solving skills with the innate ability to identify gaps in solutions and processes and provide proactively provide a solution.
Experience in addressing individual incidents and coordinating broader problem resolutions.
The ability to produce precise and high-calibre architectural and design documentation
Proven ability in leading and delivering projects and managing stakeholder expectations.
Effective communicator with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in delivering large IT projects at scale is desirable.
The ability to stay up to date with new technologies and emerging trends.
Any certifications in Microsoft products or networking are a plus!
Due to travel to the Data Centre and clients site, you must have a full and valid driving license.
