IT Infrastructure Operations Manager

Your new role

This is a brand-new role based in the heart of Sheffield. The IT department ensures that all digital systems, infrastructure, software, and data operations run smoothly to support the group. As an IT Infrastructure & Operations Manager, you will lead the daily operations of our desktop and infrastructure support teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services to our users.

Responsibilities

Line management to a team of infrastructure and desktop support analysts, whilst also being the technical escalation point.

Management of enterprise and operational network infrastructure.

Management of Microsoft server stack, VMWare and Hyper-V.

Management of Active Directory and Office 365.

Management of Manufacturing systems and applications.

Working alongside the Enterprise Architect, assist on the design and installation of new infrastructure.

Provide 3rd line escalation, investigation and diagnosis.

Work to ITIL v4 framework.

Experience needed

Hands-on experience in IT Infrastructure support, and extensive supervisory experience.

Strong understanding of the Microsoft Stack.

Good knowledge of VMWare and other virtualisation technologies.

Strong understanding of network configuration and protocols.

Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Environment of 500+ users
