IT Environment & Release Manager - Contract - Newcastle

Hays Recruitment are working with an organisation based in Newcastle to recruit an IT Environment & Release Manager on a temporary basis. The Environment & Release Manager will be responsible for the strategic planning, scheduling, and execution of software deployments and releases within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities (Summary):
  • Manage release schedules, ensuring alignment with development, testing, and business readiness milestones.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure readiness for deployment
  • Define and enforce environment refresh strategies, data masking, and rollback procedures.
  • Maintain a centralised release calendar and environment usage matrix
  • Work closely with development, QA, operations, and business teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software
  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible
  • Develop and provide regular updates and reports on deployment progress and outcomes
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on deployment best practices and tools
