Thriving multi-academy trust seeking an IT Engineer to be based at a secondary school in North Manchester.

This multi-academy trust is well established with schools in Manchester, Yorkshire, Merseyside and Staffordshire, and it is continuing to grow with new schools joining the trust and the addition of new schools being built. This particular vacancy is to be based at one of their sites in North Manchester, a secondary school where you will work alongside the Network Manager.

Your new role

Reporting to the Regional IT Manager, you will be responsible for providing day-to-day IT support to the secondary school, based on site 5 days a week, supporting staff and pupils. . From a technical perspective, you will set up and install new equipment, software, hardware, upgrades and components, work with laptops, interactive whiteboards and sound systems, providing direct support to staff and pupils. You will be responsible for maintaining standard network cabling, performing basic diagnostics and supporting the trust with their cloud platforms. You will work closely with the Network Manager on site, as well as with the wider central IT team who will support you in your role and across the trust.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have IT Engineer/IT Technician experience, ideally with experience working in the education sector in a school, trust or college. You will have a proactive approach to your work, ensuring a high level of support and customer service is provided to end users, and that all IT issues are resolved effectively. Knowledge of Google would also be beneficial.
