IT Field Engineer – Windows 10 Migration & Device Rollout (Phase 2)
Location: London (West London and other sites)
Contract Duration: Until mid-SeptemberTravel:

My client is seeking proactive and adaptable IT Field Engineers to support Phase 2 of a laptop migration and rollout project. The role involves deploying approximately 250 devices before mid-September, ensuring smooth transitions for end users, and maintaining momentum across multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Device Rollout & Migration:
  • Replenish and replace legacy devices with new, Intune-prebuilt laptops.
  • Reimage devices and ensure successful user login and application availability.
  • Migrate shared devices and assist with image deployment.
Data Access & S Drive Transition:
  • Support users in identifying critical data previously stored on the S drive.
  • Communicate limitations regarding S drive migration and assist in locating data owners where possible.
User Support & Floor Walking:
  • Provide hands-on support to IT-illiterate users.
  • Assist with Windows 10 usage, Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint), and facilitate access to newly created collaboration areas.
Scheduling & Site Coordination:
  • Manage site schedules, including self-booked visits.
  • Maintain flexibility and initiative—keep operations moving even when users are unavailable.
  • Provide regular updates to project lead (Sunil).
Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Engage with end users to understand their needs and ensure readiness for migration.
  • Maintain a list of outstanding tasks and follow up with relevant individuals.

What you'll need to succeed

• Good customer support / customer facing experience
• VIP Support
• 1st / 2nd line support
• Tech Bar Support experience
• Floor Walk, 1-2-1 Support as well as remote support experience
• Laptop/Desktop build and troubleshooting experience
• Office 365 build, troubleshooting, rollout experience
• Understanding of Network and infrastructure
• ITSM tool / Call logging tool experience, such as ServiceNow, Remedy
• Be able to work shift work where required and adapt - travelling to different sites (mainly around West London)
