Your new role

We are looking for a skilled and experienced professional to join the team as a GB System Developer. This role involves working on the GB System, which operates on an IBM i-Series platform. You will have strong programming skills, a solid understanding and practical experience with SQL, and proven capabilities in system analysis and design. Additionally, the ability to effectively communicate with senior management and end-users is essential, as you will be translating technical concepts into understandable terms.

What you'll need to succeed

Preferably will have, or must be willing to learn:

• Knowledge of IBM i

• Up-to-date RPG IV skills

• DB2 for i SQL skills

• Development tools: IBM RDi or Visual Studio Code with Code for IBM i extension

• Microsoft Office, in particular Word

• Knowledge of accounting systems (or at least an understanding of accounting basics)

• Knowledge of Payroll (again an understanding of payroll basics)
  
  Desirable:

• Node-js or other open source languages

• Open source tools

• Experience of web design/development, HTML, JavaScript

• Windows Server

• Office 365

• AWS
