IT Contract Manager (Fixed Term – 12 Months, Potential for Permanent)
Salary: £55,581 – £63,438
Location: Hybrid (2 days office-based, 3 days remote)
We are seeking an experienced IT Contract Manager to join this evolving Commercial Function within the Public Sector. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a modern, innovative approach to procurement and contract management as we move away from traditional public-sector practices.
About the Role
You will lead the end-to-end IT procurement process, including:
- Information gathering, tendering, evaluation, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
- Managing the full contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance, cost efficiency, and risk mitigation.
- Monitoring performance against KPIs and SLAs, resolving disputes, and handling variations or terminations.
- Maintaining the IT contract register and planning timely renewals.
- Engaging with vendors and technology leaders to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Developing procurement and contract management standards and providing training to internal teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in procurement, contract management, and supplier relationship management within IT/digital/technology categories.
- Expert knowledge of procurement legislation and contract law, including Procurement Act 2023 and PCR2015.
- Public sector procurement experience is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to bring fresh ideas to help shape a new commercial function.
