Your new company
A leading UK-based organisation in the higher education sector is on the lookout for a driven and strategic Category Manager – IT to take the lead on all things IT procurement.

Your new role
This is your chance to shape and deliver a forward-thinking IT category strategy that drives real value. You’ll lead tenders, negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and influence key stakeholders – all while ensuring compliance and delivering measurable savings. Including but not limited to:

  • Setting the strategic direction for IT procurement
  • Leading sourcing strategies and high-value tenders
  • Managing supplier relationships and contract performance
  • Advising stakeholders and coaching junior team members
  • Supporting capital projects and commercial bids

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience in IT category management
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing skills
  • CIPS Level 6 qualification or equivalent experience
  • A commercial mindset with a collaborative approach

What you'll get in return
A salary of £46,734 to £57,422 per annum with an excellent benefits package is on offer. The role will also offer hybrid and flexible working options.
