Summary

• A leading UK organisation at the centre of the innovation ecosystem is seeking a proactive and collaborative professional to join its Investment Team. The successful candidate will focus on organising and enhancing the investor masterlist and supporting the delivery of an end-of-project report, strengthening investor engagement and measuring impact.

Key responsibilities

• Build a strong understanding of private and public finance providers, mapping key contacts and investment profiles across the stakeholder network.
• Support the team in developing and maintaining the investor CRM, measuring engagement and impact.
• Drive knowledge transfer and best practice within the team, sharing insights on the investment landscape and contributing new ideas for engaging the investment community.
• Contribute enthusiastically to team communications and projects, supporting colleagues as needed.
• Take ownership of professional development, with guidance from the line manager.
• Respond flexibly to reasonable requests in support of the organisation’s strategy.

Experience and skills

• Applied investment experience (VC, PE, cVC, debt finance, institutional/project finance) is desirable.
• FCA regulatory and/or innovation experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of investor requirements for companies, including investment readiness.
• Good grasp of government and local funding for innovation, and relevant technology policies.
• Ability to understand value propositions and investment drivers across industries, finance types, and UK regions.
• Experience working in a busy, high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and analytical skills.
• Flexible, reliable, and able to work collaboratively in a diverse team.
