Are you passionate about making a real difference in pupils’ progress? Hays Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the Wirral to recruit a dedicated Intervention Teacher to support targeted learning across key stages.
Your new role
As an Intervention Teacher, you will work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored support to small groups and individual pupils. Your focus will be on raising attainment in core subjects, particularly English and Maths, and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
- Plan and deliver high-impact intervention sessions
- Track pupil progress and adapt strategies accordingly
- Collaborate with teaching staff to identify learning gaps
- Provide feedback and contribute to pupil assessments
- Foster a nurturing and motivating learning environment
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered for this role, you must:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience delivering interventions in a school setting
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive and compassionate approach to teaching
