This is an extremely welcoming and supportive school that has a nurturing ethos with high expectations and a strong sense of community that is seeking a skilled and motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temporary, long-term basis. This is a full-time contract, consisting of 32.5 hours per week.


Your new role

As a teaching assistant within this school, you will be joining a like-minded team of educational professionals. You will offer comprehensive support across KS1 and KS2, tailoring your approach to best suit pupil needs, building strong constructive relationships with pupils by taking a key interest and assisting in the delivery of inclusive and accessible lessons. Your core duties will include but may not be limited to:

  • Planning and delivering interventions in core subjects across KS1 and KS2, including small group sessions for lower/mixed ability pupils
  • Provide 1:1 and small group tutoring to close learning gaps
  • Work in collaboration with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver and assess targeted support
  • Offer 1:1 support to pupils with SEN/ALN, adapting learning to suit individual needs
  • Accurately monitor and record pupil progress, contributing to assessments, review meetings and recognising key milestones

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, recent relevant referenceable experience, and:

  • Experience planning and delivering interventions across KS1 and KS2
  • Good knowledge of the primary curriculum (English and Maths is essential)
  • Experience working with SEN
  • Be able to commit to a long-term full-time contract
