Your new company

Hays Recruitment is proud to be working in partnership with a Winsford-based two-form entry primary school that is at the heart of its local community. This is a thriving mainstream primary school that requires an experienced and motivated teaching assistant to deliver bespoke interventions in key areas to pupils across KS1 and KS2 on a 1:1 and small group basis, including within a resource provision. This is a long-term full-time contract consisting of 32.5 hours per week that will last the remainder of the academic year.


Your new role
As a teaching assistant within this school, you will work alongside class teachers to promote a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment by tailoring your approach to best suit pupil needs and by utilising an array of learning equipment. You will lead on interventions, planning, preparing and delivering interventions in required area's including additional subject support to lower ability pupils and well-being for pupils within an SEMH resource provision. Other duties will include:
  • Accurately recording and maintaining learning journeys, giving accurate feedback and recognising key milestones
  • Direct liaison with Key Stage leads and SENCO on pupil progress
  • Positive behaviour support

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered in your application, you must have full "Right to Work" in the UK, a minimum of 40 days referenceable classroom experience within the last 2 years, and:
  • Be at least Level 2 NVQ Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent qualified
  • Have experience planning and delivering comprehensive interventions in Maths, English and behaviours
  • Be able to commit to a long-term full-time contract
