Job Opportunity: Intervention Teaching Assistant – Preston

We are seeking a dedicated Intervention Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Preston. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
Your new role
Deliver targeted intervention sessions in literacy, numeracy, and/or social-emotional development.
Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to identify pupils needing additional support.
Track and report progress of intervention groups.
Support pupils 1:1 or in small groups, adapting strategies to meet individual needs.
Foster a positive and nurturing learning environment.
What you'll need to succeed
Previous experience working with children in an educational setting (school, tutoring, youth work etc.).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport with pupils and staff.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning.
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, HLTA, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential.
