Location: Huntingdon, UK (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (DOE) Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role:
We’re seeking a talented and driven Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic Building Services team in Huntingdon. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 3+ years of experience who’s ready to take the next step—whether you're currently at intermediate level or looking to transition into a senior role.
You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of electrical design projects across a diverse portfolio, including residential, commercial, educational, and healthcare sectors. From concept to completion, you’ll play a key role in shaping innovative, sustainable, and compliant building services solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and contribute to electrical design across multiple projects
  • Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and calculations
  • Collaborate with clients, architects, and other engineers to deliver integrated solutions
  • Manage and coordinate small to medium-sized projects
  • Conduct site visits, surveys, and inspections
  • Ensure designs meet current regulations, standards, and best practices
  • Mentor junior engineers and support their development
Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical building services design
  • Proven ability to manage or assist in running projects
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and industry standards
  • Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or Building Services
