Your new role

You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality engineering work across multiple concurrent projects. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role manages 3–4 active initiatives at any given time – balancing hands‑on technical execution, cross‑team collaboration, and proactive problem‑solving. The engineer is expected to take ownership of outcomes, drive clarity, and ensure projects progress smoothly from design through delivery.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Technical Competence – Demonstrates strong proficiency in core languages, frameworks, and tools relevant to the role.
  • Autonomous Delivery — Proven ability to independently manage and deliver 3–4 concurrent engineering projects.
  • Problem‑Solving — Able to break down complex issues, propose solutions, and execute effectively.
  • Collaboration Skills — Works confidently with product, design, QA, and other engineering teams.
  • Communication — Communicates clearly, manages expectations, and provides structured updates.
  • System Design Understanding — Comfortable contributing to architectural discussions and evaluating trade‑offs.
  • Quality Mindset — Consistently produces reliable, maintainable, and well‑tested work.
  • Time & Prioritisation — Able to juggle multiple streams of work without losing focus or momentum.
  • Documentation — Writes clear, concise documentation for systems, decisions, and processes.
  • Mentorship Capability — Provides constructive feedback and supports junior engineers’ development.
