Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer – Nottingham (Office Attendance Only Every Several Weeks)

Your new role

This is a great opportunity for an Intermediate Electrical Design Engineer to take the next step in their career. You’ll be responsible for producing detailed electrical designs across a range of building services projects, coordinating with other disciplines, and contributing to project delivery. You’ll also support junior engineers and work closely with senior staff to ensure high standards of technical output. The role is highly flexible, with most work carried out remotely. You’ll only need to attend the Nottingham office once every several weeks, offering excellent work-life balance while staying connected to a collaborative team.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience in electrical building services design
  • Good technical knowledge across lighting, power distribution, containment, and sustainable design
  • Ability to manage your own workload and contribute to project coordination
  • Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and electrical calculation tools
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a car for occasional site visits and office travel
