We are seeking an experienced Housing Disrepairs Solicitor to join our legal team on an interim basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a busy local authority in managing housing disrepair claims and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Advise on and manage housing disrepair cases, including pre-action protocols and litigation.
- Draft and review legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
- Represent the authority in negotiations and, where necessary, at court hearings.
- Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice to internal stakeholders on housing law and related matters.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and council policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a current practising certificate.
- Proven experience in housing disrepair litigation and homeowner/tenant law.
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and drafting skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload under pressure.
- Previous experience within a local authority or public sector environment is desirable.
