Interim School Business Manager Job Available at Primary School in Middleton
A Primary School in Middleton are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interim Business Manager to join their vibrant and inclusive primary school. This is a key leadership role, responsible for the strategic and operational management of the school’s finances, HR, premises, and administration.

Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Lead on financial planning, budgeting, and reporting
- Oversee HR processes including recruitment, payroll, and compliance
- Manage contracts, procurement, and supplier relationships
- Ensure health & safety and premises management are compliant and effective
- Support the school office and oversee the school's administrative function
- Support the Headteacher and Governors with strategic planning and decision-making
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in school business management (ideally within a primary setting)
- Strong understanding of education finance systems and compliance
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety and premises management within education
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to hit the ground running and work independently
Desirable:
- CSBM or DSBM qualification (or equivalent)
- Relevant degree or qualification (Finance, HR)
- Flexible hours to suit your availability and personal commitments
