Interim Procurement Specialist
Your new company
We are working with a leading Central Government organisation on a new mandate and are seeking an interim procurement professional to provide support within their team.
Your new role
- Drafting commercial documentation for Invitations to Tender (ITT) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ), aligned with JCT and NEC contract forms and in full compliance with UK public sector procurement policy and the Procurement Act 2023.
- Planning and managing end-to-end procurement for engineering and building works, including associated services such as design. This covers:
- Preparing and issuing ITTs/RFQs, managing bid receipt and evaluation, drafting contracts for execution.
- Preparing and publishing notices on Find a Tender, ensuring adherence to statutory requirements under the Procurement Act 2023.
What you'll need to succeed
- Professional procurement expertise within the UK public sector, with a strong understanding of regulated processes and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of JCT and NEC contract frameworks, and experience drafting commercial terms for construction and engineering projects.
- Category experience in construction, engineering, and associated services.
- Familiarity with the Procurement Act 2023 and its implications for public sector tendering and transparency.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills, ensuring timely and compliant procurement delivery.
- Excellent drafting and attention to detail, particularly in preparing ITT documentation and statutory notices.
What you'll get in return
This will be a 3 month role with scope to extend. This will be a hybrid position with 2 days commute to Bristol each week with flexible working hours. Therefore, candidates will not be considered for this role if they cannot meet these travel requirements. The vacancy sits inside IR35, meaning you will be able to choose from PAYE or Umbrella payment methods and rates will relate to your choice. No LTD companies will be accepted for this role.
