Interim Procurement Opportunities | Local Authority | £450–£550 per day

Hays are currently supporting a local authority client with the appointment of experienced interim procurement professionals to address short-term capacity gaps within their procurement team.

These are high‑impact contract roles working on complex, high‑value public sector procurement under the Procurement Act 2023, with immediate or near‑term starts.

Roles required (3–4 months):
▪️ 1 x Senior Category Manager – Corporate Contracts (up to £550pd)
▪️ 3 x Category Managers – Corporate / Place & Environment / ICT & Digital (up to £450pd)

Key requirements:
✅ Significant local authority / public sector procurement experience
✅ Delivery of high‑value, complex procurements end to end
✅ Strong working knowledge of the Procurement Act 2023
✅ Experience using e‑procurement systems (In‑Tend or similar)
✅ Ability to operate autonomously and deliver quickly
