A large public sector organisation offers hybrid working with 2 or more days a week in the office to an experienced Policy and Governance specialist with experience in other Government or Public Sector-related organisations. This is a 4-month interm assignment.

Your new role
We are seeking a Policy Governance Project Manager to lead a short-term project focused on improving policy governance, accessibility, and compliance across the organisation.
The role requires strong project management skills, experience in governance frameworks, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and stakeholders.

You will map and analyse existing policy frameworks and do a governance review, including storage, accessibility, and approval processes.
You will benchmark policies against government standards and develop a standardised policy template and guidance.
You will work closely with a range of stakeholders across the organisation.
What you'll need to succeed
Proven project management experience delivering governance or compliance projects.
Strong understanding of policy development and governance processes in a Government or related environment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally outside direct line management structures.
Analytical skills for gap analysis, benchmarking, and process improvement.
