Your New Role
As an Interim Management Accountant, you will provide accurate and timely financial information to support strategic decision-making and ensure resources are used effectively to maximize community benefit. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts
- Delivering variance analysis and advising budget holders
- Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting external audits and ensuring compliance with VAT and financial regulations
This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the Plymouth office, giving you the chance to work closely with a team passionate about creating positive change in Devon.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience in management accounts
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial systems (e.g., Sage or ERP)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills to influence and support non-finance stakeholders
- Experience in charity sector or public sector finance (desirable but not essential)
