You will be joining a well-established and complex organisation with a busy, supportive Procurement function. The team plays a critical role in ensuring procurement activity is compliant, efficient and effectively delivered across the organisation. This short-term opportunity has been created to provide additional capacity during a period of transition, helping to maintain momentum and ensure continuity of service.
Your new role
You will provide hands-on support to deliver business-as-usual procurement activity at pace. Your focus will be on progressing low to medium value procurements, reducing backlog, and ensuring all activity is well-documented and ready for handover. You will manage RFQs, mini-competitions and framework call-offs in line with procurement regulations, support the preparation of specifications and tender documentation, and maintain accurate procurement records and contract data. You will also act as a point of contact for stakeholders, helping to keep procurement activity moving and addressing routine queries while identifying opportunities for efficiencies.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience working in a regulated procurement environment and be confident delivering hands-on BAU procurement activity, including RFQs and framework call-offs. A strong understanding of procurement processes, compliance and documentation is essential, along with the ability to prioritise and work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience within IT category is required alongside exposure to G-Cloud framework.
What you'll get in return
In return, you will be offered a remote role (other than the collection and return of your work equipment) alongside a £400/day rate. You'll have the opportunity to join a collaborative procurement team where your contribution will have an immediate and visible impact. You will gain valuable experience across a wide range of procurement activities and further develop your ability to manage procurement pipelines and deliver outcomes to tight deadlines. This role offers a supportive working environment and the chance to build practical experience in a busy and dynamic setting.
