You will be responsible for driving service transformation, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and delivering high-quality, customer-focused repairs and maintenance services. This role requires strong leadership, contract management expertise, and a deep understanding of housing legislation and regulatory standards.
Your new role
- Lead the delivery of responsive repairs, disrepair, damp & mould, voids, and estate improvement services.
- Ensure compliance with statutory duties including LGSR, FRA repairs, Legionella, Asbestos, and water hygiene.
- Manage contractor relationships, ensure KPIs are met, and customer service standards are upheld.
- Drive service improvement through data analysis, resident feedback, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver strategic outcomes.
- Represent the organisation at resident and stakeholder meetings, including evenings when required.
- Lead and develop staff teams, ensuring performance management and HR policies are followed.
- Oversee budget planning and financial management aligned with corporate objectives.
- Contribute to emergency planning and business continuity strategies.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven track record of leading large-scale responsive repairs services in a public or private sector setting.
- Strong experience in contract management, service transformation, and budget oversight.
- In-depth knowledge of housing legislation, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working in politically sensitive environments and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications such as CIH Level 5, RICS, NEBOSH/IOSH, or equivalent.
- Project management certification (e.g., Prince2, PMP) and formal leadership training (e.g., ILM Level 5).
- Strategic leadership and team management.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement.
- Data-driven decision-making and performance monitoring.
- Collaborative working across departments and with external partners.
- Commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
