Head of Logistics, General Manager

This is an exciting opportunity to join this successful, market-leading organisation and take ownership of a critical function, overseeing day‑to‑day activity while shaping and delivering the long‑term vision. Available on a long-term interim basis for 1-2 years, this hybrid role is critical to this organisation’s continued success and growth. As Head of Logistics, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring materials, equipment, and services are available when and where they’re needed. You’ll define and implement the logistics strategy, manage risks, and deliver reliable services to partners and stakeholders. With full accountability for budgets, inventory integrity, and resource management, you’ll play a pivotal role in enabling core business operations and driving customer satisfaction.

You’ll establish clear performance reporting and embed KPIs to monitor service levels, costs, and efficiency. At the same time, you’ll champion continuous improvement, streamline supply chain processes, and identify cost efficiencies without compromising service quality. This role is about more than operations — it’s about people. You’ll build empowered teams, instil accountability, and foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovation. By championing health and safety and nurturing talent, you’ll create an environment where individuals thrive and high performance is the norm.

We are looking for an accomplished logistics leader with a proven track record of running complex, multi‑site operations and driving both safety and commercial success. You will bring senior‑level experience in logistics, supply chain or operations, backed by formal management qualifications and professional accreditations. With strong commercial acumen and deep expertise in materials, inventory, warehousing and transport management, you’ll be confident in shaping performance and delivering transformation. Excellent communication and stakeholder skills are essential, along with proficiency in Microsoft business tools and logistics systems. Above all, you’ll be a strong, people‑focused leader who can coach, mentor and inspire teams, create safe environments that nurture talent, and deliver exceptional service to customers.
