Head of Finance

Director of Finance
We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our Senior Leadership Team as Director of Finance. This is a strategic position, central to delivering the Corporate Plan. The successful candidate will shape policy, strengthen governance, and ensure the effective management of corporate services to support the companies mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership for Finance, Governance and Business Support functions.
  • Ensure effective, efficient, and sustainable management of resources in line with public sector standards.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of theCorporate Plan and strategic objectives.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and reporting to ensure compliance and transparency.
  • Drive organisational development and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Maintain robust governance frameworks and risk management processes.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the Chief Executive and Board on corporate matters.
Essential Criteria
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within finance, governance, or corporate services.
  • Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of public sector governance and accountability frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver organisational change.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience in HR leadership and organisational development.
  • Knowledge of employment relations and public sector policy environment.
