Hays Accountancy & Finance are seeking a Financial Controller to join our client on a temporary / 6 month contract, working within a well-known and respected charity in Belfast dedicated to making a positive impact in the community.

Your new role

• Managing the day-to-day financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Leading and developing a small finance team.
• Providing strategic financial advice to the senior management team.
• Overseeing the preparation of financial statements and audits.
• Managing cash flow and financial risk.

What you'll need to succeed

• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the charity or non-profit sector.
• Strong knowledge of financial regulations and standards.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
