Interim Finance Systems Implementation Specialist
UK Charity | £60m turnover | 100% Remote Start: April / May | Interim contract | Ongoing project

The Hays senior finance contracts team are supporting a well‑established UK charity with the appointment of an Interim Finance Systems Implementation Specialist to support a new finance systems implementation. This is a key delivery role, acting as the bridge between Finance and IT, ensuring the system is implemented effectively, adopted properly by finance users, and embedded with strong controls and processes.

The role
  • Act as the lead finance SME on a systems implementation project
  • Translate finance requirements into clear system and IT deliverables.
  • Support configuration, testing, UAT and go‑live readiness
  • Ensure robust controls, reporting and finance processes are built into the system
  • Be the go‑to link between Finance, IT and external vendors
  • Support change, adoption and post‑implementation optimisation
About you
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
  • Strong experience in finance systems implementations (ERP, finance transformation or major system upgrades)
  • Comfortable operating between Finance and IT
  • Hands‑on, delivery‑focused and able to work independently
  • Charity / public sector experience useful but not essential
Contract details
  • Salary equivalent: c. £60–70k (day rate depending on structure)
  • 100% remote working
  • Ongoing interim project, initial commitment likely 3–6 months+
