Interim Finance Manager job in Plymouth

Interim Finance Manager
Location: Plymouth Area
Hours: 37 hours per week
Rate: £200 - £350 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP - likely to be up to 6 months
Working Arrangement: Hybrid working available

About the Role:
Hays Senior Finance are seeking an experienced Interim Finance Manager to join a small but dynamic charity in the Plymouth area. This role is pivotal in ensuring the financial health and sustainability of the organisation, which has an annual turnover of £2 million to £3 million.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage the charity’s budget, forecasts, and financial planning.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and charity-specific requirements.
  • Work closely with the Administrator, Assistant Administrator, and Finance Assistant to support the organisation’s financial needs.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to the senior management team and trustees.

About You:
  • Proven experience in a similar finance management role, preferably within the charity sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and charity accounting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
