Your new company
A well-established and fast-paced distribution business with a strong international supply chain footprint is seeking an experienced Interim Distribution Operations Manager. You will take responsibility for day-to-day operational leadership across warehouse, inventory and logistics, ensuring continuity, control and service reliability during a key interim period.
This is a hands-on leadership role, with a particular focus on:

2) Maintaining continuity across international shipping, customs considerations and delivery performance
3) Coordinating with logistics partners to proactively resolve disruptions and delays

1) Owning operational oversight of £7.5m high-value inventory across 10,000+ SKUs
2) Ensuring stock accuracy, availability and effective replenishment to support uninterrupted customer supply
3) Monitoring stock movement, demand alignment and operational discipline to mitigate risk
• Warehouse & distribution leadership:

2) Ensuring strong operational controls, workflow coordination and team accountability
3) Providing clear escalation management and decision-making to maintain service levels
• Supplier & courier management:
1) Managing relationships with suppliers, freight partners and courier providers
2) Monitoring service performance and addressing operational issues in real time
This role is focused on operational stability rather than transformation, requiring a strong leadership presence and the ability to embed control, visibility and consistency quickly.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced interim or senior operations leader with a background in warehouse and international distribution environments, including:
• Proven experience managing import/export and cross-border logistics operations
• Strong expertise in inventory management within high-value, multi-SKU environments
• Ability to ensure stock availability and accuracy at scale

What you'll get in return
• Competitive daily rate
• Immediate impact role within a critical operational period
• Opportunity to lead a complex international distribution environment
• Autonomy to stabilise, control and optimise operational performance
