We are seeking an experienced HR leader to join a public sector organisation on an interim basis to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of all people-related services. This role is pivotal in driving a people-first culture, ensuring staff feel valued, empowered, and supported. If you are available immediately or from January 2026, this is a fantastic opportunity.
Your new role
This is a high-impact interim role requiring resilience, strategic thinking, and hands-on leadership. Key focus areas include:
- Lead and inspire the HR team, fostering collaboration and service excellence.
- Oversee delivery of core HR services across the employee lifecycle.
- Drive organisational development and workforce planning initiatives.
- Champion CPD strategy to support career progression and leadership development.
- Ensure compliance with employment law, safeguarding, and audit standards.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven senior HR leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR compliance frameworks.
- Skilled in team leadership, change management, and stakeholder engagement.
- CIPD Level 7 preferred.
- Confident in navigating complexity and delivering results at pace.
