A well-established organisation on the South Coast is looking for an experienced Interim Data Protection Officer who can step in immediately and bring clarity, confidence and structure to a busy and complex data protection landscape.
This is a full-bodied brief. You’ll be right at the heart of both day-to-day casework and the strategic pieces that shape long-term compliance maturity. Expect to handle live investigations, data incidents, SARs and risk assessments, while also advising on thorny issues around transfers, contractual obligations and broader governance. The work is real, the challenges are live, and your judgement will be relied upon from the moment you walk through the door.
You’ll be partnering closely with an engaged in-house legal team and external counsel, translating legislation into commercially workable advice that stands up under scrutiny. Independence and integrity are critical, but so is your ability to guide senior stakeholders through complex decisions with confidence and clarity. This is not a theoretical compliance role; it’s hands-on, operational and influential.
The organisation offers hybrid working from its Bournemouth base and is open to both full-time and part-time arrangements — what matters most is your ability to start quickly, operate autonomously and deliver value at pace.
