Your new company
A local authority based in the Greater London area is looking to recruit an experienced Interim Counter Fraud Officer for a 6-month assignment.
You would be working on a flexible hybrid arrangement with some time required in the office, according to the needs of the investigations.

What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally be an Accredited Counter Fraud Specialist or have extensive experience in a fraud investigation role within local government.
You will have strong knowledge of relevant legislation and excellent communication, interviewing, and analytical skills.
You will have the ability to manage sensitive cases independently and professionally.

A competitive rate dependent on method of payment. £300-350 per day
Flexible hybrid/mostly remote working, depending on the requirements of the investigation you are undertaking.

You’ll lead investigations into suspected fraud, theft, corruption, and other irregularities across specific services in the Council, conducting thorough investigations in line with appropriate legislation and best practice.

You will also support on a couple of projects to refresh policies within this area.
You will need to be present in the office to undertake interviews under caution and also to retrieve certain documentation, according to the needs of the investigation you are leading, otherwise the role can be based more remotely, if desired.
