Your new role

As an experienced Interim Chief Accountant, you will be working in an autonomous role that encompasses statutory accounting with duties including, but not limited to, taking ownership of statutory accounts, year-end reporting, month-end close, VAT, tax, balance sheet accounts, stakeholder management and supporting with external audit.
Please note this role offers a hybrid working policy, but additional on-site presence will be required in the first few weeks. Candidates must be available at short notice.

What you'll need to succeed

• You will be a fully qualified Accountant (ACA preferred) with a background in large complex organisations.
• You will possess a strong technical skill set with extensive experience in Head of Financial Accounting roles or similar.
• You will have a proven history of leading all statutory accounting, year-end reporting, month-end submissions and processes, external audit and providing financial support to the wider business.
• Manufacturing / FMCG background would be desirable but not essential.
• You will have experience of mentoring and coaching team members in a similar role.
• Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
