Interim Management Accountant role in the Plymouth area.
Position: Interim Management Accountant
Duration: Up to 9 months
Rate: £213.37 - £260.78 per day
Organisation: Local Government organisation in Plymouth, Devon
Working Arrangement: Hybrid (combination of remote and on-site)
Hours: Full-time
Location: Plymouth, Devon
Parking: Available on-site

About the Role:
Hays are looking for a skilled and motivated Interim Management Accountant to join a local government organisation in Plymouth, Devon. This role is essential in maintaining the financial integrity and operational efficiency of the organisation. You will be responsible for preparing financial reports, conducting analysis, and providing strategic financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage financial statements and reports.
  • Conduct variance analysis and budget forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets.
  • Provide financial advice and support to various departments.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors.

Requirements:
  • Ideally, a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Consideration will be given to non-qualified candidates with significant relevant experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
