Integration lead, merger, acquisition

IT M&A Integration Lead
£800 - £950 per day
Hybrid: Leeds/London 1x per week each

This role leads the acquisition integration workstream for a major corporate merger, ensuring systems, data, and processes are aligned to deliver operational continuity and unlock strategic value. The leader will drive for clear integration Technology Roadmap, establish governance and risk frameworks, and drive collaboration across senior stakeholders to smoothly manage the execution of it over the first 4-6 months of the programme. Success requires balancing strategic foresight with hands-on execution experience, overseeing migration and interoperability of core platforms while identifying opportunities for efficiency and innovation within Technology workstreams.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Own the Technology Integration Strategy and Execution Plan: Define and lead the overall technology integration approach for Day 1 and beyond, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational continuity, and regulatory compliance.
  • Safeguard Business Continuity Across Critical Technology Functions: Ensure core systems (infrastructure, connectivity, identity, collaboration, and security) remain stable and resilient throughout integration, enabling uninterrupted operations with clear processes and escalation routes if required.
  • Establish Agreed Solutions for Priority Areas: Drive decisions and readiness for essential collaboration and communication capabilities (e.g., Microsoft 365, Teams, email integration, network connectivity), ensuring clear options and phased plans are in place.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Engagement and Governance: Work closely with HR, Finance, Operations, and other functional leaders to confirm their Technology requirements, priority deliverables, and bring that together is a clear, prioritised and resource level Roadmap for longer term Technology integration work.
  • Manage Risk, Security, and Compliance: Implement robust security monitoring, incident response, and escalation processes during business integration, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards and draft the Roadmap with relevant leaders for longer term security.
  • Coordinate Readiness and Assurance Activities: Oversee validation exercises (dry runs, readiness checks) and hyper care planning to mitigate risks and provide strong support for critical users and the wider organisation.
  • Act as the Primary Escalation and Decision Point: Serve as the senior authority for technology integration issues, and change management governance, ensuring timely resolution and stakeholder communications.
  • Ensure Transparent Communication and Documentation: Maintain clear communication channels and documentation for all integration decisions, changes, and progress updates across both organisations relating to Technology, ensuring the ‘integration management office’ have clear visibility on plan execution, and any risks and issues.
