Insurance Technician - London/hybrid, up to £40k

Your new company

An established and growing insurance organisation is seeking an experienced Insurance Technician to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to work across multiple business classes on a global scale.

Your new role

As an Insurance Technician, you will play a key role in supporting the technical operations of the business. In this role, you will produce LPANs and process premium submissions via Xchanging and IMR across all classes of business. You will manage premium entries and reconciliations through internal broking systems and take responsibility for creating and submitting monthly bordereaux for processing and reporting. You will liaise with brokers and underwriters to resolve payment, system, and IMR queries, and you will organise and lead weekly team meetings to ensure efficient task management. In addition, you will support credit control to ensure timely settlement of accounts and assist with setting up premium finance. You will review MRC slips and market details to confirm that accurate payments are being made. When the manager is absent, you will step up to lead meetings and maintain workflow.

The business handles all classes, including Marine, Non-Marine, and Aviation, on a worldwide basis.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to succeed in this role, you will need strong technical knowledge of insurance operations and processes, along with experience using Xchanging, managing all aspects of LPANS, IMR, and internal broking systems. Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and take initiative when required.

What you'll get in return

You will receive a competitive salary of £40,000 and benefit from a hybrid working arrangement with three days in the office. This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse global business classes and develop your expertise in a supportive environment.
