Instrument Technician
Location: Wilton, Redcar
Start/Finish Times: Monday to Friday 07:30 – 16:30 (9-day fortnight every second Friday off)
Local labour only


Key Functions
Instrument / Analyser Technician candidates should have experience in Preventative Maintenance, break-down repair and calibration of online process analysers and associated equipment within the oil & gas industry.

Main Duties and Responsibilities;

· Fault location, repair, calibration and maintenance of Instrumentation systems, ESD Systems and PLC’s
· Preventative maintenance and proof test procedures on safety-related instrumentation systems
· Some knowledge of Electrical motor control systems and Analyser field equipment would also be advantageous
· Application of basic reliability techniques and tools to further enhance the Refinery’s safety and reliability culture
· Inspection and maintenance of hazardous area equipment
· A commitment to provide out of hours call out cover and to work extended hours during busy periods


Qualifications and Experience

· You will have completed a recognised training programme and have experience within the oil & gas industry or other continuous process industry.
· An aptitude for problem-solving is essential and appropriate qualifications such as CompEx, City & Guilds, ONC/HNC or equivalent should be held.
