Our client is an industry-leading expert within the design, manufacture and servicing of conveyor systems.

Your New Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Install and Commissioning Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for the installation, mechanical setup and commissioning of conveyor systems at customer sites. This role requires hands-on engineering skills, the ability to work independently and a flexible approach to travel and working away from home.

Whilst working your key responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to:

Install conveyor systems of all types, including mechanical setup, alignment, and adjustments • Commission systems in collaboration with in-house electrical engineers • Conduct performance testing, troubleshooting, and final handover to clients • Prepare detailed commissioning reports, documentation and site records • Work safely and efficiently on-site, adhering to health and safety regulations • Support junior engineers and apprentices when required.

This role requires travel and work away from home in line with project schedules throughout NI, RoI, UK and occasionally internationally.

What You'll Need To Succeed

In order to be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

Essential Criteria

Proven experience in the conveyor, materials handling, or related mechanical industry • Hands-on experience installing and commissioning industrial equipment • Strong mechanical skills with the ability to read and work from engineering drawings • Practical problem-solving skills on site • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with electrical engineers and project teams • Flexibility to travel and work away from home • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Criteria

Experience with automated systems or factory automation equipment • Previous exposure to international or large-scale installation projects • Mechanical or engineering qualification.
