Your new role

As an Information and Advice Worker, you’ll be the first point of contact for individuals seeking support with accommodation-related issues. You’ll deliver brief interventions through a variety of channels including drop-in hubs, virtual sessions, phone, email, and video calls. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Conducting initial assessments and providing short-term advice
  • Supporting individuals with housing, budgeting, benefits, and signposting to relevant services
  • Coordinating support plans and referring to longer-term services where needed
  • Maintaining accurate records and contributing to service development
  • Promoting the service within the community and liaising with external agencies
  • Supporting reporting and outcome tracking for service commissioners
This is a mobile role with an office base and occasional home working available by agreement.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Experience supporting vulnerable individuals or relevant personal experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A trauma-informed and psychologically aware approach to support
  • Good IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records
  • A flexible, empathetic, and proactive mindset
An NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in a social care field is desirable but not essential.
