A world leading insurance business in the heart of the City of London is seeking an Indirect Tax Manager to join the growing team.

Your new role

In your new role as an Indirect Tax Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day to day UK VAT assignments of the business whilst supporting the Senior Manager within the team.

• Prepare quarterly UK VAT returns as well as any other compliance requirements the business may need
• Provide VAT advice to other departments across the business
• Liaise directly with HMRC on any VAT related issues
• Provide VAT/GST support to overseas offices when required
• Report directly to the Senior Manager ensuring a clear line of communication throughout assignments
• Assist in the continuous upskilling of the team and other departments

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this position, you will ideally be CTA, ACA or ATT qualified with a proven track record of preparing VAT returns ideally within the financial services industry. You will have strong attention to detail and analytical skills with the ability and confidence to relay technical VAT information back to key stakeholders. An excellent understanding of partial exemption is essential.
