We're looking to recruit an Independent Living Support Worker on a temporary contract for a minimum of 8 to 12 weeks in Widnes, where you'll be based within one of our clients' Independent Living Schemes for over 55s, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Hourly rates between £15 - £17 per hour.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out daily welfare calls and visits to vulnerable tenants

• Complete, review and update tenant support plans and risk assessments to identify any additional support needs or requirements

• Ensure communal facilities remain well managed and maintained to ensure compliance with health & safety requirements

• Maintain and update all records and information systems in relation to customer contact

• Advocating on behalf of vulnerable customers, signposting to external services and liaising with various agencies to facilitate access to holistic support and wellbeing services

• Implement and encourage participation in activities and events aimed at promoting physical and mental health

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience of social housing related support, having completed risk assessments and support plans with an understanding of the barriers that older people can face in relation to independent living

• Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to demonstrate empathy and understanding whilst handling difficult situations

• A good understanding and knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures

• Confident lone worker with the ability to work on your own initiative
